Mrs Momma Bear Brings High-Fashion Hype to the Spurs

San Antonio’s energy just got a major style upgrade — thanks to Mrs Momma Bear founder and designer Lee Evans Lee, whose custom creations are now the uniforms of the 2025–26 Spurs Hype Squad.

In an exclusive feature with the San Antonio Express News, Lee shared her vision for bringing performance-ready glamour to the court. “It was a dream of mine to take the brand to the sports arena,” she said. “Starting with my hometown and the team that I love is how it began.”

A Fusion of Fashion and Fiesta

Drawing inspiration from the Spurs’ iconic ‘90s Fiesta colors, the Hype Squad’s new uniforms are pure nostalgia reimagined — teal, pink, and orange energy with a high-fashion edge. Each look combines Mrs Momma Bear’s signature performance fabrics with streetwear flair:

  • For the women: a cropped black tee with the retro Spurs logo and midriff-baring black overalls emblazoned with graffiti-style “Hype Squad” lettering.

  • For the men: tailored overalls with a bold cross-placket front and matching Fiesta logo accents.

Both versions feature local love in the details — tags that read “210” and “SA,” a nod to the city’s heart and spirit.

Designed to Move (and Groove)

The new uniforms had to keep up with every flip, twist, and b-boy spin the Hype Squad delivers. Lee worked closely with Hype Squad coach Ronnie Guest III, who described the collaboration as “a great design process that honored our local roots and the Fiesta theme.

Each piece is crafted from a custom Lycra-nylon blend developed by Mrs Momma Bear — breathable, moisture-wicking, and stretchy up to eight times its length. Lee describes the feel as “silk butter,” built for flexibility and flair on and off the court.

From the Runway to the Arena

Mrs Momma Bear has always stood for elevated comfort — blending tailored silhouettes with athletic stretch for the modern woman who moves. The Hype Squad uniforms take that same philosophy into the sports world, transforming performance wear into a fashion statement that celebrates confidence, culture, and community.

Lee’s design roots run deep in San Antonio — from her first Spurs game at HemisFair Arena to now outfitting the city’s most spirited team. “When I finally saw the whole team in uniform, it felt like the city,” she said. “It’s the feeling of the Spurs and what they’ve always been.”
