L’Officiel Monaco | American Stylist: Dorian Jihad

Mrs Momma Bear’s Tuxedo Mini Dress in Birch appears in L’Officiel Monaco ’s “ American Stylist: Dorian Jihad,” a profile of the stylist behind MAISON, the magazine’s Fall/Winter story, photographed by Jesus Baez at Studio CLYX III in Bushwick. Dorian Jihad styles it on model Shia.

Described by L’Officiel as a “camel blazer dress,” the Tuxedo Mini Dress is cinched with a studded leather waist corset by Circular Path and finished with knee boots from the stylist’s own collection. Against warm plaster walls and a burl-wood console, its double-breasted tailoring reads polished and quietly sculptural.

For MAISON, a studio in Bushwick is dressed to pass for a lived-in Paris apartment. Dorian Jihad, a self-taught stylist from Newark, built every look in the story, often working with independent designers and smaller showrooms. “Style meant being able to spark a conversation in any room you entered without saying a single word,” he tells L’Officiel. Makeup is by Ricardo Delgado and hair by Venecia Reyes, with wardrobe drawn from The Copper Room by Flying Solo.
